What is reality?

What is reality?

What is reality? We can say reality is an experience of existence which cannot be vanquished. The big picture of our ultimate experience will be meaningful and reasonable when it is experienced as a holistic entity, by putting all the factors surrounding our lives into play.

This is what I believe the nature of reality is about. In his book, The Strangest Secret, Earl Nightingale gives a definition of success as, ‘the progressive realization of a worthy ideal’.

With the right perspective we can strive to be aligned with reality ultimately as a positive continuum by tapping into this incremental and progressive success, in spite of the forward and backward movement of our experience, because this ‘yo-yo’ movement of life itself has a positive momentum (moves forward).

Life revolves around a point, but this revolution expands. Reality has an oscillatory and spiral momentum, and these have a forward and expansive trajectory, this trajectory of experience is what I call, ‘The grand positivity of existence’.

Reality is Positive

Irrespective of what we go through as individuals from the forward and backward situations of life circumstances, it is important for us to bear in mind that life goes on, and attempts at retracting, diminishing, or reducing experiences for the sake of ‘the good old days’ are not usually a safe bet against reality.

Our experience of life may come as incidences of highs and lows, of triumphs and losses, but life has a forward trajectory, therefore we must keep moving forward, never becoming complacent with success nor letting adversity make us dejected.

So, we may ask:

How can we maintain an awareness of this positive perspective of life while embarking on the work of balancing the ups and downs of our own oscillatory experience of life?

Why do we ‘drop our guard’ when we are successful?

Why do we find it difficult to manage success?

We shall attempt to resolve these puzzles in the next edition of  the blog.
